As of April 14, 2007, Nancy Arnold (aka The Big Girl) and I, Bud Gibson, had been training partners for 2 years and three months. It was a fun ride. Around June, 2005, Nancy decided to prepare for a bodybuilding competition in April 2006 (originally tax day). I decided to tag along. I'm not bodybuilding material like Nancy, but I liked the discipline.

In November, 2005, Nancy started to blog. The day before Christmas that year, I followed suit. From that time, we did a lot of training related things jointly, but it was hard to share across blogs. So, we decided to create this blog where we both could author and edit each other's posts. Our first mutual venture was the video analysis that we had been publishing on my blog. Toward the end of Nancy's competition prep, we began to do podcasts about what she was going through.

After Nancy's competition, we continued to train together and maintain this blog right up until yesterday, April 14, 2007. Yesterday, Nancy and I decided we had to discontinue our collaboration because she had begun to experience professional conflicts across her multiple roles. As I mention in this tribute to Nancy that I published today, April 15, I'm very sad to lose Nancy on both a professional and personal level. This site will always bear her mark.

The site will continue on. As you can see in the side bar, I have a great sponsor in Gold's Gym, Ann Arbor, and they are providing a lot of material. I'm also going to try to resuscitate some collaborations I had begun with other sites last summer. I also expect to visit other gyms in Southeast Michigan and indeed around the world.
